In cloud-based Kubernetes clusters, Services are usually exposed by using load balancers provided by cloud vendors. However, cloud-based load balancers are unavailable in bare-metal or on-premise environments. ApiScaler allows users to create LoadBalancer Services in bare-metal, egde, and virtualization environments for external access, and provides the same user experience as cloud-based load balancers.
Helm uses a packaging format called charts. A chart is a collection of files that describe a related set of Kubernetes resources. A single chart might be used to deploy something simple, like a memcached pod, or something complex, like a full web api stack with HTTP servers, caches, and so on.
